I finished making this call today.  Both the barrel and the tone boards are made from hedge.

Great job!!! I heard hedge is used for goose calls a lot.

AHH: Those rings around the mouth piece..  are they neoprene/rubber/etc rings to seal it against that fine looking barrel...? Is your mouth piece straight... or with a taper.  It looks straight in the photo along with a plastic reed. How does it sound?

The rings are neoprene, they seal the mouth piece to the barrel and keep the barrel from splitting if the mouth piece is pushed in to far.

The mouth piece has a very slight taper.

If I didn't think it sounded good I would still be tunning it.
