Hi Guys and Gals,

I am writing an article for a magazine about coatings, or finishes, sprayed onto firearms for protection. Some of the finishes are Duracoat, Np3, Bearcoat, and others, and come in camouflage and solid color.

What I need is 2-3 high quality digital images, preferably 8-10 megapixel, or very hi-quality 35mm color slides of you with a dead coyote, hand full of crows, badger, lynx, bobcat, or any other legal VARMINT...not deer or other large game.

The pics needs to be made close up of the camouflaged finish gun you are using, rifle or shotgun, including you and the varmint. The camouflaged gun can be factory finished, or custom finished. Either is fine.

I ask that you give me permission to use the pics for the article, which may not be published for approx. one year.

There is no reward for the pics, except that your mug may be in a nationally published magazine. Maybe you will be discovered, and become a famous movie star!

You may contact me at...336-775-2987  or e-mail....kenjcrotts@yahoo.com

Thanks, and I do appreciate it!

Ken

I have been thinking of getting some of that Duracoat and try it out on a gun. Has anyone used this stuff?

I have not used the duracoat, but looking at the kit it is basicly a 2 part epoxy. It should perform as advertised. If you have a conventional or hvlp gun you could use it instead of the kit and just buy the coatings. Only caution I can see is going over existing coating as the epoxy could burn the existing coating.
