On Saturday you didn't happen to start into a field around 7:30AM and find it already occupied? Just wondering as two fellas showed up at the same spot I was trying out. Thought it could be you as I hadn't ever seen these guys/vehicle before.
Darn---was actually hoping it was you guys. Definately means there are two other unknown guys trying to kill birds that I have put more than enough pressure on anyway.
They actually were very polite and eased out of the field as soon as they saw the decoys. Didn't hurt me at all but there wasn't much to kill at that spot in the grand scheme of things. I didn't stay too awful long and moved on down the road. Spent Saturday hopping around and trying out spots to see what was happening in the way of birds.
After season is over and I switch back to targets rather than birds we need to take a trip to the sporting range. You guys members at any of the local clubs?
Wish we had been out Saturday but I was welding up my father-in-law's trailer most of the day. Don't know about Arn but I am not currently a member of any clubs.

Sometimes I'll shoot oak hill but I'm not a member there. I'm a member of CASL though if you guys want to go there sometime in the summer. Really don't shoot it much anymore but it's an ok course like oak hill. In tha last year I've been concentrating my efforts at island lake and bald mountain on the east side of the state due to the quality of their targets. Those courses are both top notch with multiple levels of difficulty to suit beginner to top competitor. It's a drive but worth it. Let me know if you want to go to any of those sometime
I can try to help. Not any super shot myself but I like to concentrate on difficult target presentations. I run around 5-6000 shells thru the gun over the summer mainly at sporting clays. I went to Bald Mountain on Sunday as I couldn't find any crows. Think its over for the year.
We found a few Saturday but didn't have much luck. It was a new spot and they were flying over us before we were set up. I debated about shooting them but if it turns into a good spot I didn't want to burn it by not being hidden and ready. We'll be headed out Friday morning for our last shoot of the year.

I'm just not seeing enough birds left to have much hope for another good shoot. Havent put the gear away just yet and if I run into some I'll definately head back out but I'm not holding my breath at this point.
