My worst season to date
Permalink

Here are a few pics from my horrible season. I killed less than 300 crows. I put all my energy in to one very large roost. By the time I was allowed to shoot the birds, some idiots shot the heart of the roost for about 2 days and the birds were forced to leave. That took the wind out of my sails for most of the season. The strange thing is that we never did get the migrators this year. We never did get any geese either. Strange year all around. Maybe 2012 is or last yearwink A few pics of some hides and hunts.

Unfortunately it only takes one or two guys to screw it up for everyone. I hope you have a better season next year.

You could try to team up with them.

"Each one teach one!"

It's a good concept here. Better than having another season ruined anyway...

Chip; I also had my worst year, not many, if any migrators. there are more geese, both lesser canadas & snows on the Mohawk River than I've ever seen. When they're flying to & from the river, the number & sizes of the flocks is impressive. Jerry

Craze - not sure, but I can tell you that the Alpha Dogg comes with "Young Crow" call on it and it attracts crows.

Thank you 8,,,, He is off to LDAC ( Leadership Developement Assesment Course) in June. That is in Washinton State. The day he graduates he catches a plane to Fort Bragg to train with the All Americans for three weeks in Night jumps and land nav. After that right before he returns he has orders for Air Assault school With the 101rst. Very busy summer lined out for him, He is gonna make one hell of a Warrior!!!!!biggrinbiggrinbiggrin  Crazy, that decoy you are talking about is an assault crow from urea duck. I have 2 and it is an important part of my arsenol. They work best if you know any Yankee steel fabricators from Massachusetes, to make your wires for youwink
