Hi there Target. Yes it has been a very mild winter/spring across most of southern Canada. I'm from Manitoba and most of our snow was gone by the second week of March. Normally I too start the spring shoot with plenty of snow on the ground as per attached photo from lat spring I believe..
Your blind certainly stands out there but I guess it resembles a remaining large drift that often take a long time to melt. I would think this is why the crows never took alarm. Keep up the good work and please do keep posting short stories and pics of your future crow shoots.
