New here but not to crow hunting
Permalink

Hey everyone. My name is Rob and have been hunting crows for well over 20 yrs.

Did most of my crow hunting back in my home province of NewBrunswick Canada. I've done a lil bit off and on since I've moved here to Illinois.

Even an old fart like me can still pick up some tips and tricks.

I use and 870 Wingmaster 3" Magnum

7 GHG Fully Flocked crwo decoys, and a couple of flyers I made myself.

I also have some silo's. The hardest part here is getting access to good hunting areas..

Thanks for having me in your home (y)

Oh lord..will be 50 in 2 yrs and lots of snow on the roof....LOL..and I'm still south of the great white north. I reside in IL...just south of Chicago...but don't hold that against me...LOL

Hoping to move North again...somewhere in Sask. I'll try to share some pix and stories.

50!!! My goodness, hope you have picked out a fine nursing home... as you have so little time left!!biggrin. I will be 71 in May...   so count your blessings!!

As for returning North..Saskatchwan..  I have hunted there most of the years since 1986: Huns and 'Chickens'...   southern Sask. to be more exact and have tons of fine memories... and hope to make a few more. Few things in this world beat the upland bird hunting there not to mention the very fine.. and very few.. people! I have shot a few crows there as well... but in the winter, few remain in those temps..

 71, wow..so young, so little time left...lmao..j/k

This will be my first time I have gone and have heard the upland is awesome. Crows, waterfowl and upland would all I would interested until I got really settled in.

I would then think of big game, as I haven't hunted big game sisnce 87.

Thanks for sharing some of your experiences Skip...much appreciated wink
