What do you guys think about using airguns for hunting crows? I have been using shotguns, but I am getting the Benjamin Discovery in .22. Alot of people are starting to use air rifles and air pistols for small game, and even medium to big game animals. People have said that, with the particular version of airgun I'm getting with a good scope on it, they were able to kill squirrels or crows out to 135 yards.
Some folks use them. There are a few on here that prefer the sniper approach. I know Shanedog uses air guns (VERY NICE ONES) with night vision to kill rats. I see nothing wrong with them and if they impose the $1 per round tax the White House is wanting then lots more of us may start using them.

Christian, I shoot squirrels, crows & the occasional rabbit with my pellet rifles. I mainly shoot a 177 beeman, but also use a gamo pro hunter. Never tried one at the distances you're talking about, but have killed squirrels out to maybe 50 yards. Both my guns are scoped & sighted in at 25 yards. Is your new gun spring or precharged pneumatic ? Jerry
Christian, how are you recharging it ? how many shots to a charge & does the power drop off as the charge goes down ? any idea of the fps ? I've been thinking of a pcp but haven't really looked into it. What about the difference between 177 & 22, is it noticeable ? thx for the info. Jerry
It will take more than a good scope to get out to 135 yards with an air gun, especially a Disco. It will take alot of ammo testing, and some time turning turrets and learning Chairgun. If you are serious about making those shots, find a good mil-dot scope, and check out Ted's Holdover on youtube. He made a series of three videos that do a very good job of talking about what it takes to make the long shot
