Afterthought: Read the article. Not surprising. The two reader comments at the time both present their side. One, the usual anti-hunting low-info type and a reasoned, factual response from guess who--a hunter. Interesting that the term"crowbusters" was often used in the article. Could it be that these poor delusioned folks provide fodder for the Hate Mail section of the main Crowbuster.com site? Thanks Red.

So, now in Europe (this one comes from Germany), we are shooting crows with "military grade" weapons, and slaughtering them to the brink of extinction. FFS, they are increasing in population throughout the British Isles at 1-2% a year, despite all the shooting we do of them, and I suspect that most European countries are the same.
This is of course published by "Der Spiegel" which is an extremist boulevard tabloid, and is known for distorting everything it writes about.
Has also been reported by Fox News.
So soon we'll be seeing similar claims in every other country too.

The worst bit: A "hunting organisation" is seemingly behind all this! They stole pics from our forum of types of crows shot in Austria which are protected in germany. You read the claims: An ornithologist can't tell the difference between them, so obviously we must be equally incompetent...
I don't want to go into detail, it'll just raise my blood pressure...
Just so much: One of the organizers got death threads which backfired due to his occupation... Should have put the bastards in jail for a few days ...
For whatever it's worth - I would advise all of my brothers on Crowbusters to enjoy our thing as much and as soon as possible because I don't think it's going to be around very much longer. Nov. 6th should have told you all that you need to know about the shape of things to come. A coalution which surely includes the "antis" as well as lots of other groups who in most cases DESPISE people like you and I now enjoy iron fisted control of mass media, public education (never mind colleges !!!) and, of course, government. Start to think of YOURSELF as an endangered species - Prepare for the sorry spectacle of the Federal Government openly reduced to an auction for votes funded by your tax dollars and borrowed Chinese money - DON'T DOUBT IT - just look at the news for the last couple days and they are just getting started !!!
I'm usually a pretty upbeat person but as I look in my crystal ball I'm damned if I see anything that's going to change our direction. Sorry to be such a downer but sometimes it feels a little better to vent........
Yep, we have had to fight off the antis here, trying to get ever more corvids put on the protected list. Last hey tried putting hooded crows on it, till it was scientifically proven that they were in fact a mix of grey crows and carrion crows, and not a seperate species, but the result of in breeding. Redneck crows on the protected list LOL
