This one isn't even good enough.  I'm still learning the hard way!  Crows have amazing eyesight and hearing, and even greater intelligence to process what they perceive.  Keep trying, have fun, and be safe!

Blinds are everything (besides being still and shooting well). The better your blind, the closer those crows will get. I've got one that is four 5-foot PVC posts (in a half circle) with 4-foot sections of PVC attaching the tops of each 5-foot sections. I then have camo netting stretch across the poles. This is just the frame that I then brush in as much as possible with natural foliage. Its tall enough to stand in with only my head exposed but conceals enough to work.

If you need other plans, there are plenty of guys with much better blinds than mine, but I build out of cheapness and necessity.

I just started using the crow owl fight and I couldn't help but notice that although they fly in really low, as soon as they see you there gone.  Before this I've been using crow fight and although there alot higher there not very scared if they see you.  This made me wonder, do you guys use blinds and what kind?  I use to have a doghouse blind, it worked great, but it's not too fun being cramped in those tiny things.  Lately I've just been using, especially for the crow and owl fight, a fallen down tree and the brush around it.  It works good but even then I have to pull up real quick before they make a run for it.

CD -

Concealment is everything. If you read the older posts on here and read the articles on the Site, you'll find that out pretty quickly. Crows have amazing eyesight, hearing, and even greater intelligence to process what they perceive. If you aren't hidden, you're toast. I know first hand and still learning the hard way.

Good luck, have fun, and be safe!

Jerry

its the moving around before you shoot, you must stay very still until ready to shoot, i have shot many crows while i was standing in the decoys, i just don;t move until i shoot, but you still need a good blind, 10gacs
