That really stinks man. I think it will turn out okay for you in the end.
Good luck and keep us posted on how it turns out.
Hope so, as stated they still have my money. At least the shop emailed me back to say heir is nothing he can do, as eBay isn't showing anything ordered from them, and the PayPal transactions are showing as on hold, but that's because I disputed 3 of the 4 transactions. Ebay and pay pal haven't got in touch yet though

So, this morning, decided to order a Primos Alpha Dogg electronic caller from the states via eBay.
All went well till it said confirm and pay, then I did so, and it said, transaction not complete, please return to the item and order again. So I checked my purchase history, nothing there, so did it again.
This repeated itself four times, and eventually I gave up.
Checked my purchase history again, still nothing.
About an hour later I suddenly get FOUR emails from OayPal saying I have transferred funds for a total of FOUR Primos Slpha Dogg callers
So, checked eBay purchase history again, still nothing, so have now written to pay pay via email, asking them to cancel and refund THREE of the payments.
Tried ringing the guy in the states, and only get an answering machine.
If the take these payments and the guy sends all four, that is going to cost me well over £1100.00 with tax and import duty

So, eventually yesterday the guy refunded all four payments. Due to the ****up of eBay not placing the order, but PayPal paying FOUR TIMES for the non existent order, the guy had sold them all to other people, and I was left without the caller, but minus almost $1200.00 When the money came back it was in dollars, but in the short time it was in dollars, the dollar had dropped, so got it back I to pounds, and had LOST £15.00 per transaction, so a total of £60.00 out of pocket (that's about €90-$100.00) grrrrrr The original supplier won't have any for at least another two weeks. So got fed up, and bought one from another supplier, also £15-£20.00 more expensive, BUT, it is ordered, and paid, and I have a confirmation email to that effect. PayPal are still holding on to the money, and will release it in 20-30 days. Apparently their conditions state they are not responsible for any faults and not liable, so the money I lost due to their ****up is my problem FFS GRRRRRRRRRRR Now have to wait 3-4 weeks minimum for it to arrive at the customs here (how the hell can one supplier ask £11.00 to post it, yet another supplier ask £76.00 for the same standard US international post ? It weighs no more than a transistor radio, and hasn't got the batteries supplied either, so no weight to it at all, and its a tiny thing too. RIP OFFcomes to mind :(

i've had a couple of issues with paypal but never like that.
3rd time this has happened in 6 months. Affected a lot of people this time, as first time I tried to ring customer service it was a 55 minute wait on a pay line, and second time was 115 minutes just an hour later, so I have up and sent emails, that took them 3-4 days to reply to

3 strikes and THEY'RE out!
I wouldn't give them a 4th chance to burn me. (I wouldn't have given them a 3rd chance, you're nicer than I am.)
No choice. The people selling them in the UK are asking £100.00 more, so eBay and PayPal are the only option to get one
At least if it doesn't turn up I will eventually get my money back, even if it is often less than I paid

Next time, one of us could buy it for you and send it over the pond as a gift to "Dear cousin Redditch." :)
Signed: Cousin Kev
Lol, probably the best way, as most companies in the states really hammer the postage onto us, often charging more or the same for postage as for the item
they still haven't marked the caller as sent from the new supplier I chose, and I'm hoping this isn't another rip off merchant
would be just my luck lol

Still waiting for an "item dispatched" email, but nothing some sellers don't do it, but its annoying when they dDon'tknow will know when it arrives in the UK as I will get a note to pay from the customs, as its above the £126.00 threshold.
The supplier never even bothered acknowledging my email requesting him to just put the invoice without post, as we have to pay tax and import on the postage costs too

You aren't allowed to use electronic calls for birds here you can't shoot birds on Sundays either, although you can on Christmas Day if it doesn't fall on a Sunday, put people don't shoot Christmas Day usually anyway. You are allowed to shoot ground vermin on a Sunday, and you can use electronic callers for ground vermin. So got this for fox.
Here's a few extra files MP3 for free
Just click on the relevant species, and a whole list comes up for that species lol
Be patient with copying over .mp3s... it might appear on the remote as "no name." Find the file on your computer, and go to "properties," and "details" on the file -- you can type in a name under the "title" bar. Then, copy it over again - that usually works. However, the first time you turn it back on, the remote takes a while to synchronize again.
The Alpha Dogg comes with most of the sounds, but I did find some additional crow calls on the website that I bought and downloaded for a few bucks.
sorry to hear of all the hassles, those stinkin' americans,I tell ya.
maybe it was fate trying to tell you to go "Fox-Pro"
hope you have better luck next time
Lol, can get fox pro here (and the alpha Dogg too) but at double the price, and that not including P&P, and guarantee is about the same from suppliers here lol, I.e. if it works when you get it okay, because after that you're on our own

So, just had a quick try of the caller. 8xAA batteries in the caller, 3xAA batteries in the remote. The caller requires the handle to be snapped into place, but that is all the assembling required except for placing the batteries (not supplied) into the unit and the remote. It can be VERY, VERY, loud indeed LOL, and the sound quality is excellent too, very lifelike. Its a very compact unit, and will be easy to move about. When not deployed in the field, the remote clips onto the back so is always at hand and can't be lost I can see me getting a lot of foxes using this. Now, if the rain would just stop for a week or two so the ground can dry out, I'll be very happy indeed

All except one payment has now been returned from the four extra they took. Still ended up costing me £200.00 in extra costs as the bank charged £140.00 in emergency veer draft for going £3.50 over lol, and then Lost £60.00 on the currency exchanges which at current rates is about $314.00 US dollars could have bought another caller for that

Yep, just still annoyed that its now ended up costing me a total of £220.00 in excess costs, as the last payment I hadn't counted last time That's $344.17 USD

i can tell you this redditch your handling this much much better than i ever would, of course thats ($344) more than my weekly wage!
Lol, I can assure you it hurts me too, but as there is nothing I can do about it, I just have to accept it
I already died six times before I had the heart op, so I try not to get my blood pressure up too much even when it does ANNOY THE HELL OUT OF ME
but, just glad I finally got a caller here. Had It gone really bad, I still wouldn't have one.
anyway, I read up on the caller today, and a lot of people say rechargables don't cut it for a full days use, and tha alkalines are the only real option, but that it will use a set a day sometimes, especially in cold weather, so I ordered 100 Duracell AA batteries today, and that should keep me going for a bit. if the worst comes to the worst, I will order some high capacity rechargables (3.500-3,800 mah), and give those a try, but the unit uses 8 batteries, and the remote uses 3, so that makes 11 batteries, and with rechargables would then need at least 22, which is SERIOUS money again plus at least 3 rechargers too

Just going to order a quiver critter, from here, as its the same price as the US, but lots cheaper postage than ordering from the USA. Makes a change they have something the same price here, they normally take $ and add 50-100-200% then put a £ in front, and make that the UK Price lol

Those quiver critters aren't bad for the price, but the plastic stake that they come with breaks pretty easily if the ground is hard. Just a heads up.
Cheers, yep, I thought it might, but no probs, can always replace it with a metal or wooden one if needed, or maybe a crow decoy stake
I'm pretty handy a repairing things.
also have an edge expedite 3 crow setup that decided it no longer wanted to turn, striped it, rough ted up the metal, anrefuelled the top on, and now turns again properly.
same with the floater poles, the screw clamp on the tube stripped on all of them, so drilled a hole through the tube, welded a nut, fitted a winged bolt, and now those work again too lol
