Since I'm idle so far today on opening day, this caught my eye. From our SW Michigan "Paper of Record:"

Anybody near this roost?

there can be a good number of birds but having lived there for a few years i can tell you that there is no shortage of idiots with ecallers to scare them

Been there done that....sounds like a great idea but there's so many people that hunt crows there that they're extremely call shy and i mean extremely!! If you like to watch 70,000 fly by and only kill 5 then this is the spot for you! Never seen so many people in one area.

its been nearly 15 years since i lived there and back then it wasn't hunted quite as hard in my opinion. in many cases the internet isn't our friend.

i know of a couple of guys that hunt the various roosts in that area nearly every day simply to keep the birds pressured as they get tired of people traveling there to hunt.
