I will generally hunt it till it starts to drop of significantly, and then move n and leave it be for about 6-8 weeks at least, going to other sites instead, and doing the same.
But, hat said, I am there to control pests, and not for my personal gratification, even of I do enjoy it too.
My main concern is to ensure that there are not too many birds feeding on the crops or animal feed.
My job is to control their numbers, not eradicate them totally

I tried letting a place rest for one year. EXACTLY one year, and they still don't come in like they did a year ago.

Those crows have a great memory.

Well, did you change your layout. They tend to remember layouts, so the clue is to change the layout each and every time you set up.

a hostile layout will be imprinted on a crows memory just like a photograph, so avoild repeating the same setup where possible

Oh yeah, different blind location, different decoys, different decoy set-up and different call sounds.....................

Hmm, then maybe they just had somewhere better to feed ? Can happen.
Here they have been scarce the last 2-3 weeks, whereas usually its black with them, so waiting for them to come back.
They will come back sometime, you just need patience
