Just check the density of the load before you buy it. All there products have different weights. 7 1/2 lead might be heavier than some of there small shot products.
Why? That stuff is very expensive. Are you hunting in an area that requires non-toxic shot. When steel was mandated some 20 plus years ago I spent the fall shooting crows with 20 gauge 3 inch 1 ounce #4 steel. It plain flattened them and worked much better on crows than it did on ducks.

I have not tried it but I really like my #7 reloads so I'll bet #7 Hevi would be down right nasty on those crows!
I'll never try it though due to the cost.
NH is right, if you are looking for a non-tox alternative. Steel does work pretty good on crows, I have shot a couple different areas where steel is required and have had good luck with #6 target load steel.....and even #7 steel in a pinch.
Years ago.. I found a case ( 250 rds ) of Hevi shot #9's on close out sale! I bought it. I am not sure Hevi even makes 9's anymore. The load is only 7/8 oz at 1190 fps. I pattern at 55 yards -- 30" circle, etc. and have tested many different shells. I try for a pattern density at that range of 170+ hits in the circle thinking no crow can fly through it assuming it is evenly distributed. Even 180 hits is ok as I do not want my pattern at 20 yards to be so tight I struggle to hit a weaving crow.
I grabbed a couple of Hevi 9's to test severall years ago. Using the same gun, same choke, same everything except I backed back to 65 yards... I got 238 holes in my 30" circle! Good grief that stuff shoots incrediably well. I am told that a given shot size in Hevi... is equal to two shot sizes bigger vs. lead. Even if that is just mostly correct, the Hevi 9's are approaching lead 7's. Those very dense little pellets put a crow to sleep...instantly at great ranges. My only problem with them.. when loaded with Hevi... all the crows come in at 20-30 yards..and then I am wishing I was loaded with something else.. save the Hevi's... for the over the horizon shots!!!

That's the beauty of lead #6, near or far it kills them dead, much better than smaller lead pellets, and it's cheap too, although with shipping we are up to about $50 for 25 pounds these days.
