My Johnny Stewart Preymaster is not working so good anymore. I'm looking to a get a foxpro, which do you think would be well suited for a crow hunter? Budget is about 600$, thanks.
I have a FX3 that is now the Firestorm. Same price, 4 Bills, more options and more sound capacity. Nice little unit. When the birds are in ear shot it's fantastic. When you can't hear a bird you'll wish it was louder.

You can hook the SP-55 up to it, and it will be louder than you could ever want it to be......

I have the FoxPro Spitfire that you can get now foraround $150. If you can spend $600 on a FoxPro, you're going to get an amazing caller!
Do you keep the unit speaker on at the same time as the SP55 or Unit speakers off and only play through the Sp55..
Mike
Either or.........I have been running mine with both internal speakers on, and the sp-55.....but sometimes I will shut off one of the internal speakers, and use the sp55 too, it saves a little battery life.......but I can run all day with both internals on, and the sp-55 on one set of batteries.....
I should have elaborated. Does the unit lose loudness with the SP55 on also.

No, you can run both internal speakers full blast, and the sp-55 full blast.........so sound comes out of the unit itself as well as the external speaker....
I do same as Buckshot, run all 3. I have never had batterys die, they run all day. It actually gives the caller a more realistic sound I think.....I tell my buddy it's like a 3d sound ....3 speakers, but it does sound good with all 3 running.
