Hi everyone: Well here in Canada the winter has seemed so long. About 5 feet of snow fell this year and temps are still cool. I have been working on a portable blind,made some deeks and getting the rest of my camo together. I will go out for the second time ever if this weather cooperates. Looking so forward to trying new techniques learned from this site. The one tip that I think is important (not that I have the experiance yet) is to remain still till the bandits get in range. If there is such a thing as shotgun deprivation I have it! Keep the tips comin,you guys are awesome.
Still 3 feet of snow here in Manitoba and no end in sight. It has been a long cold winter. Looking so forward to shooting my fist dozen 2013 spring crows!

LONG WINTER, absolutely agree with you. Maine received more snow this February than any other Feb in the past 100 years. I still have a foot in my yard. I wish Spring would hurry........

As long as the weather starts to head in the right direction (warmer) I'm ok. Been in Manitoba since 1985, have never seen spring fail to make a showing so far. I live in Winnipeg and have seen crows out for a while already. Have a pair that have nested in an evergreen tree I have in my front yard the last few years. I think its payback to the species this spring for all the morning racket I have endured.

It's slowly working its way toward spring here in Maine. Supposed to be in the forties for the next 10 days or so, (if you believe in 10 day forecasts) We got 15" of snow in the storm last Tuesday, but we have lost all but about 5" of that so far.
