Love the forum. Love smoking crows. I don't get to hunt them as much as I'd like.  To me the season closes too early in AR. I find that they don't decoy as well early in the season (sept - nov) vs. late season (dec - feb).  Any tips for killing them early in the fall.

Welcome! I work food sources hard. Peanut fields and pecan orchards are my favorite.

Thanks. I can't wait to get after them again. The videos on this site have me fired up. I might have to break out the ole crow slayer.

I have shouldered a few of those fine scatterguns over the decades.  Nice handle.  I hope you're up to it.  To answer your request,

  1. Monitor this web site.
  2. Keep your wits about you.
  3. Observe and note.
  4. Monitor this website.
  5. Do not disdain the counsel of your females!

Do not forget 5.

Good luck Bubba!!

Yep I still have my first Browning BPS.  Killed a many ducks at unbelievable ranges with it and a carlsons extended full steel choke. I branched off into browning and winchester semis and am ashamed to say owned a benelli for a few years.  But I can't get rid of my BPS.  I'm currently looking for some smaller gauge guns maybe a 16 or a 410 BPS to hunt crows and squirrels with.
