Just got my first electronic caller, Mighty Predtor 3, where can I get mp3s or CDs of sounds to use crow hunting? From the little that I've read, it seems that Johnny Stewart has the best sounds... Where can I get those sounds?

thanks

BK, I got your PM but this Kindle that I'm typing on will not allow me to answer your message, only respond to regular threads.

I'm not from Windham. I live east of Farmington.

Good to see a fellow Mainer.

As I look for Johnny Steward crow calls and Foxpro crow calls in MP3 format I'm getting nervous that I bought the wrong caller. I got it for $75, looks like a great deal for the hardware but I didn't look into getting the sounds on it before I bought it. Is it possible to get Johnny Stewart or Foxpro sounds in MP3 format? If so how? If not, could anyone recommend a place to look or cds to buy?

Here is a link to the caller that I bought:

Thanks for the help...

I converted all my cassettes which I have for my Cabelas (Western Rivers) cassette caller using my PC and sound recording software (Roxio). It really isn't that hard to do but it does require you to listen in real time and find the repeating segment of the call. For instance, Crow Frenzy is a 5-8 minute call sequence repeated on the cassette so that it plays out for 30 minutes. You have to clip out the repeating segment and save it as a .mp3 which you should be able to save to SD card or download directly, via USB, to your caller. I bought a Primos Alpha Dogg which uses a USB to copy from the PC to the caller memory. I didn't look at the model you have, but you should have options.

If all this sounds too intimidating for you, I offer you the option to send me the cassettes or CDs media and I'll create the files for you. I can then provide you the choice to download from the internet or save them to an SD card (which you should provide with the cassettes) which I can mail back to you, with your cassettes. I do this stuff as a hobby when I'm not doing real IT work.

John

Thanks so much, thats a real nice offer. I don't have the stuff to make that happen (I'm a teacher and only have a school issued laptop) and I don't even have any cassettes, literally just starting out with this whole electronic caller angle. Up until now I'm just been blowin a cheap hand call at them and shootin them over my inlaws corn and compost...

I do want to say thanks for the offer though

Here are the sounds from FoxPro, but they only work with FoxPro callers:

http://www.gofoxpro.com/site/products/soundpacks/preview-foxpro-sounds.php

I have a Primos, and here is their library in .mp3 format:

https://shop.primos.com/c-154-primos-sounds.aspx

Many sounds are $2

And, like Bob said, All Predator Calls:

http://www.allpredatorcalls.com/categories/CDs/Crow/

Then, there are searches like this:

http://www.sounddogs.com/results.asp?CategoryID=1009&SubcategoryID=10&Type=1

Good luck!!

Jerry

I'm new to the site and new to the sport. Just purchased the ihunt app on my iPhone. Any one ever use this or heard any reviews? Tried it briefly and seemed to get some attention but wasn't set up, only busted one but I'm hooked.
