Got out this morning for a few hours. Shot about a dozen crows or so between 6-7AM when at abuot that time some light rain began to set in. Promptly shut the crows down and I packed up for home. Collected most of the KIA's to bush them. One looked kind of poor and unkept for some reason. Upon closer examination I found it to have a large growth protruding from one of it's eyes as per attached photo. Appeared to be blind in that eye as well.

Sounds like you did pretty decent crow hunt for only an hour of shooting. You definitely did that ugly crow a big favor. I'll bet that eye was very uncomfortable for him.

Looks like a crow-stalactite hanging from the eye!
Nice #8 hole in the beak too...

8 shot through my modified 16 gauge M12 busts up crows real well. When crows are cooperative and I'm doing my part it is not unusual to have dead birds with shot up heads, both wings broken as well as both legs shattered. And yes, I did put that poor crow out of its misery!
