Well Our duck hunt wasn't much more than a flop!! We stopped and stayed just north of Harvey. 99.999999 % of the crops were still in the field. We found a wheat field that had been cut recently and dumped a handful of mallards the first morning. That was the only field hunt we had. The next 3 days were terrible, temps in the 70's and skeeters as big as horse fly's. We ended up I think with a total of 30 ducks and 2 geese. Only 4 of the ducks were mallards rest trash ducks. Oh well next year we will go later when the migration starts. I did see a ton of crows on one day. I looked up and saw a wide line about a 100 yards wide. It was about 830 am and the birds were about 150 yards high.that flight lasted for about 50 minutes. Migrators high and headed south. I never saw the first crow feeding or even flying low til we got to Iowa. I'm not used to hospitality like that. Those people up there are the friendliest people I have ever met. I really didn't have anything to take a pic of. Gaddy's teal and shovlers were about all we shot. We had a good time tho, good old buddies and one hell of a black lab. I mean a retreaving machine!!!! Man I wish I could use her for crows,,, I start gearing up for Bandits this week our season comes in on the 28th. Party time then!!!!!biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Chip,

Good luck on the crow season. I hope this year treats you better than the duck hunt and last years crow season.
