We hunted about this time last year and a friend of mine who turns a few calls made this call out of the big oak he was using for a hide! You could still smell the charred wood where the old oak had been struck by lightning!
I bought it soon as I saw it kind memoralizes the hunt we had his brother Charlie is the guy I hunted with today!
Here's a pic from last years hunt we got about 20 something. Again we knocked some to the ground and they were runners here in the mountains of WV they go deep over in a holler they are coyote food.
We try to stop em but sometimes you just can't if they fall over 40 or 50 yards away and are runners it's hard to stop em and then it's also hard to find them!
