I got back from Wichita Kansas yesterday with a load of 5,000 trap loads in # 8 shot. I'm glad I have 10 ply tires on the 4x4. I had to go to three different Walmarts but I took all they had. Now I can coast and pick up some here & there between now and next crow season. It's all stacked up in the ammo dump at the house.
Just got off the phone with Dick my partner, he is still hunting crows. I quit the end of January. Not enough for two guys so Dick goes it alone.

We are happy with taking one or two hogs, as we are rookies at hog control. Tonight I will have my RRA AR15 in 6.8SPC and Matt will be packing his .308 bolt gun, both suppressed.
We will also have a Matt's .22LR Savage bolt gun, suppressed, and and my very much unsuppressed Benelli M4 for furry critters along the creek we are hunting.
I have found if you call some of the online ammo suppliers they will cut you a great deal for under Wal-Mart pricing. Picked up 80 cases (modern) of subs for under 5 bucks a box.

Still trying to stock up, here in Bama as soon as a box of anything hits the shelve they are several rednecks (LOL, Me included) buying them. I have ben able to get loading supplies and got out my Dad's old Pacific 366 and have cranked out several cases, He died 25 yrs ago and this brings back a lot of great memories for Me and my Son.
Hoping to run across some deals like last year but it's not looking good, smaller stores have plenty of stock but at premium prices.
Maybe one day this political gun/ammo control crap will be put to bed for good by We The People and we can enjoy our shooting sports without it costing a small fortune. (Sorry didn't mean to get on my soapbox)
Anyway I really like looking over at a large quantity of shells !
