Rare Brown Crow

Well, my hunting buddy and I went hunting one afternoon this past week.  We had to use a snowmobile to get to our spot with 2 ft. of snow on the ground in spots and over a foot everywhere.  We also knew we were hunting educated birds and were just getting our fix being that the season is coming to an end, but IT ENDED UP BEING VERY WORTH IT FOR JUST ONE CROW.  We ended up with 45 but when I was picking up the dead birds I realized that we had shot a trophy, a chocolate brown crow.  We have no idea which one of us shot it being that we didn't realize we had shot it until we were picking up the birds.  This bird will definitely be mounted!!!  Pictures will be forthcoming.

I am very computer challenged so Big Honkers is going to graciously post them for me sometime today.

That is a very good looking piebald crow, lets see him again after he is mounted.

Hi Bob, will do. I am looking for a good taxidermist for birds. I wrapped and froze it properly for mounting, so it will be going to the taxidermist as soon as I can find a good one.

Shocking but here is proof positive that one crow dated black ducks!

That's the first time I've ever even heard of a brown crow! I would mount it for sure and make sure you get a good taxidermist!!

Yeah I had looked at that a few times a long time ago!

I should've said I've never seen or heard of one around here in WV! LOL!

You've taken quite a few I see Bob!

Hi Bob, didn't you shoot one in 2009? I saw one on the oddities page that you got one that looked just like the one we got
