I generally do not mind hunting in cold or snow. In fact, some of my favorite hunting pictures are taken with snow on the ground. The decoys and dead crow bodies show up so much nicer with a white background.
MI crow season is Feb/Mar and I have not been out yet. We have had a ton of high wind days....AND we have a ton of snow on the ground. The nearest town has recorded over 130 inches of snow thus far this winter. I hope all this snow does not flood out my hunts in March. We shall see...
Here is a pic of my 4 year old daughter standing next to a snow bank. The two wires on the right side of the picture are a horse fence!
I can relate to that, we are 14 hunts behind last year. I finally borrowed one of my brothers snowmobiles to get out. It is a ton more work but at least we have been able to get out a few times. The weather this year has sucked for getting out hunting!! What a cute picture of your daughter.

Very nice looking little girl, she gets her looks from her father!
In snow country it can be a real problem when the snow melts, the ground is so soft that unless you have an ATV you are limited depending on the type of ground you are hunting in.

We are behind in hunt's this year as well. Snow has limited the days, and affected us getting to areas we usually hunt. Can't turn off main road and into farm lanes after the plow trucks make 4' high banks!! No other place to park the truck as roads are even narrower with snow banks. Places we used to hike to with gear, are quite a chore when wading through snow that is over your knee's.
We have got a bit of a melt off this weekend, so that helped some.
Yeah I too am about 10-15 hunts behind the amount I was out this time last year! I am off work Friday but I see the weather is going to turn bad again!

Don't have to deal with snow much in Alabama, most so far was in 93 we had 13 inches, which is a walk in the park for you guys,
Hope it gets better for y'all and please don't send it down here (LOL) We do great in mud but a 1/4 in of ice with a inch or two of snow
On these roads makes for some interesting times! (LOL) Great pic !
