Crows normally only have one hatch per season. They have on average 5 eggs in which two to three survive and make it to the fledgling stage of there life.

They caught me by surprise as I never actually saw any young adult crows until June in any case when I'd hear their slow nasaly almost fish crow toned calls...that "ccaawww......caaww..." which gets really weird when the parents stuffs food down their bills it becomes a really high pitched weird whining call...very jay like if you've heard baby blue jays but a little deeper...
The parent crow will stuff as much as they can carry like you see them up close after you shoot some..I mean leaking out if it were something soupy. What is weird even if something drops they will swing around or land in a branch and size up the scene then drop in and collect whatever dropped!!!
