If you want to use any device for sound suppression while hunting check with your state's wildlife agency first. In NH where I live such devices including metro barrels are illegal.
In Michigan, one may own and use suppressors, but not yet while hunting. I've asked my state rep. to introduce legislation to get that changed, using the justifications of noise abatement; both for the firearm user's health (hearing preservation) and to quiet things down for nearby residents. Also, as there are more and more "Chicagoland" residents moving into SW MI for second/summer homes and retirement homes; many of them are frightened by gunfire (rightly so) or are simply leftists who have been indoctrinated against any form of firearms (drinking the Obama/Emmanuel/Bloomberg Kool-Aid). Generally good people, it's "...just that so much of what they know is wrong." (Ronald Reagan).
Never looked up Metro Barrels' use here. Maybe the Good Guys from the Texas Crow Patrol can comment on which states permit these.

The Texas Crow Patrol is quite interested in this device. However, Silencerco is not going to start shipping them until September or October, so there is no way that anyone could have one in time for this hunting season, given the NFA processing times. We are also concerned about the pattern qualities of the device, as it does not appear to be capable of accepting choke tubes.

Knowing nothing how these attach to a shotgun barrel, it might be that they use a gun's choke threads much like the Metro Barrels. If that is the case, then only the choke that is inherent within the supressor would affect the pattern. It is possible that like other supressors, that its interior dimension is slightly larger than the barrel to which it attaches, leaving that shotgun with whatever choke it happened to have within the threaded portion. Does that make sense?
In any case, the demonstration video shooter seemed to be busting clays pretty well (slick editing?).

Doesn't appear that a choke is used or can be used ....since the baffle assembly is fastened with a "choke adapter."
If the baffles are made from carbon fiber then weight would not be an issue.. However, it is my feeling that the baffle assembly would block some FOV.. Would love to hear some feedback from users (when available) TCP??? And others...
Washington State allows the use of suppressors while hunting with rifles. Since this is a new product it remains to be seen if they will allow the use of suppressors with shotguns. There is a movement underway to get sound suppressors removed from the NFA list to where they could be sold over the counter like any other firearm accessory. Now that would be nice. It is totally unnecessary having them handled the same as automatic weapons. Nine or more months to get approval and a $200 stamp, what a joke. Even the British can purchase suppressors and in fact are required to hunt with them. That's from a country that requires a license to own an airgun for Pete's sake. Just saying...
I am sure they'd allow more hunters around if not for the noise around here..we'd have access to different areas and it would open up a whole new world to us.
Why not lowering the noise? They allow bow hunting(and pellet rifle s)and how loud is that?
WE can thank Hollywood for the anti-gun mentality and anything the gun grabbers can do to make it harder to own any gun they will pinch as hard as they can...in New jersey they teach anti-hunting in schools...and most schools get a dose of anti-gunning from the very very liberal left wing communists who teach ...anti-constitutionalistic dogma..lies, lies, and lies and you wonder why the people are so dumb? They've been dumbed down in public education!
It has been said if you tell a lie enough it sooner or later becomes "truth"....
One guy said that it wasn't a good idea to keep a gun in the gas station or else a criminal might think there is more money there than there really is-go FIGURE right?

I am still working on that one.
Just so you know, not all teachers are liberal left wing communist. (although many of my colleagues are)
I am very old-fashioned, way out on the right wing tip, trying not to fall off. In my public school classroom I teach pro-gun, pro-hunting, guns are tools to be used safely, hunting can be positive, yada-yada. I do all I can to help turn the tide.
Good to hear Mainehunt, I think the old saying Take your kids hunting and you won't have to hunt them still holds true today.
I remember reading that one common thing most men in prison shared was that they had never been taken fishing, it is amazing
The things that a good dose of common sense being used could do for our Nation.
