Does anyone know where I can get a CD, 45 rpm record, or cassette of hawk calls, with crows in a fighting situation? I would prefer a lot of hawk calling in the recording.
I had a recent favorable experience with hawk calling sounds, and the crows responded extremely well to it.
A contact name, address, phone No. or e-mail address would be appreciated.
Ken if you can give me the name of the label on the cassette I will look and see if I have a copy. I know I do not have the white label Johnny Stewart "crow & hawk fight" but Johnny Stewart made other variations of that with different labels, that I might have.

Bob...I don't have a name for a Hawk-Crow cassette, as I never used any cassettes in my crow hunting. As you mentioned, years ago Johnny Stewart made a 45 rpm record with Crow and Hawk fight sounds with a red? and white label. I had one, but lost it.
If you have a 45 rpm record, or cassette of Crow and Hawk fight, I will buy it if you want to sell it. Or, take it on loan, and then return it to you with a loan payment.
Here's the latest news:
About two weeks ago, I saw a crow do something I've never seen before. I was observing some crows in a small vacant lot beside my house. I feed these crows, maybe 6-8 of them, corn and table scraps, just for pleasure and observation of their habits. One of the dudes would fill his mouth completely full of shelled corn, fly about 20-30 yards, spit out the corn onto the ground, and proceed to cover it with dry, mowed, grass. The crow did this 3-4 times successively. I did not see any others do this. That put a new wrinkle in my horn!
Have you, or any one else on this website, ever seen a crow do this?
Yup, crows are pretty sharp, the crow that was hoarding the corn did not want his buddies sharing it with him. They are all pretty much hogs at heart just like us crow hunters.
If you like you can P.M. me on the message board with your address & zip code and I will send you some cassettes that might have some hawk calls on them, if not they are still decent calls.
