Had a good time Saturday with the Grandson, hunted a 20 acre pecan orchard that Hurricane Opal knocked a lot of trees down several years ago. Trees are tall and mature, did not have any choice but to set up in very open area. Started off light fog and then clear and hot. Crows came in and we could not hit the side of the barn the first 45 minutes, missed some of the easiest shots you can get. Settled down after ragging each other about their shooting abilities (lol). We wound up with 42, His best shoot so far and the crows need to take notice because He is hooked. Will post a few pics.
Thanks Guys, it is nice to have fun with the boy's. You become better friends from sharing a hunt, family ties are there,
But hunting put us on the same level. In a blind there's no father-son or granddad-grandson its just hunters. I really enjoy
that part.
