Well, I haven't been able to get out yet for crows this season. However, I did get to Saskatoon Canada for a week long waterfowl hunting trip in October. The outfitter compiled a 10 min video of our week. I wanted to ask before posting if it would be OK to post link (Youtube). I'll post if there's positive replies.
Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada When: Week of Oct 19, 2014 Weather: Hot! Unseasonably warm. Was nice hunting without jacket Outfitter: Pike Lake Outfitters - Family run, highly recommend - we are repeat clients.
Two hunts a day, morning hunt was geese and ducks. After noon hunts, all ducks. Shot a lot during the week. Bruised shoulder to show by end of week - damn mag & super mag loads! Hunting party consisted of regular waterfowl hunting partners from DE & PA. Two other NC hunters joined us for the week. The video is a compilation of highlights from the week. Outfitter used GoPro and Nikon camera w/video. Gun video was frmo my using I-Kam video and GoPro w/head band mount. Enjot!
Dang boys, that is some wild shooting! As the founder of Crow Busters I'm legally obliged to say crow hunting is the most fun :), but this comes pretty close. In the middle of that video you guys were getting shots every 5-10 minutes! Thanks for sharing.
No, the dog, Nikkie, a Springer Spaniel, is the outfitter's daughters dog. She takes him out and lets runs her ragged. She is only a 9mo old. Sadly, they had to put down another dog, Lohkie, a 2yr old Spaniel, the day we arrived.
Thanks Gordon - Crows is fun, ducks help me fill in the low spots
Four years ago, we got up there an had one hell of a snow goose hunt. The best day, 285 birds in 45 mins. Most shot 100 rounds in that time. I couldn't get the gun loaded fast enough.
