I would use all the Johnny Stewart sounds that I could find. They are live crow recordings. I have used them for 45 years, and had great success. I would also suggest that you find and use "feeding call" sounds, if you hunt crows whom are in a feeding situation. Ninety-eight percent of my crow hunting is when crows are feeding in a cow pasture, picked corn field, etc. I rarely run-and-gun because it takes a lot of energy, often I have to ask permission, sometimes 6-8 times a day, and this takes a lot of time, when I could otherwise be shooting from a blind over a feeding field.
If you can find the 45 rpm record made by Wightman Electronics, about 50 years ago, of Feeding Crows, you want to load it into your electronic call. It is my favorite feeding call. You may find it on on the internet, and it is certainly a great addition to your arsenal of calls. I recently sent Darrell Gibson, the crow call maker, the only extra copy that I had. I'm awaiting his response!
Also, Cornell University, Ornithology Dept. has some good sounds on their website that can be down loaded into you call, if you can do it, or find someone who can. A very good feeding sound can be spliced together, and I haved used mine with good success.
The Johnny Stewart sounds are the gold standard. Paired with the superior FoxPro ecallers you will be in business. The JS Owl and Crow Fight is very effective along with Come Here Crows...
The calls you want to have on your caller are Johnny Stewart sounds; Crows Fighting Owl, Crows Come Here, Death Cry of a Crow and Single Excited Crow. The rest of the stuff available is mostly junk or something to fool around with when you bored and tired of hearing the J/S calls I listed.
