I had an odd season, better than average, but very slow at times, had my 2nd highest kill for a season. 746 for the 2014 season, I had a bad shooting bump in the middle of it, but bounced back and started shooting a lot better. The new season starts in January and I can't wait!! 10gacs

Bob,
Had a good season so far, kill numbers are way up from last year. Did not make as many mistakes this year and was fortunate to add some good properties. Only had 1 bad shoot and blamed it on weather, thunderstorms popped up before daylight and it put a damper on activity, had I been closer to home I would have not even hunted. Still have more shooting to do and hope we can have some good hunts. Last time I added up the kill total it was 1096 since Sept. 12. Only down side is we haven't been since Nov. 15 when I got sick and we have missed out on some good hunting. So it's been very enjoyable, learned a lot and met a lot of great people spent a lot of time with Boy's hunting. How has your season been?
Took about a week and a half to recoup, still think I'm 21 and dehydration will let you know how old you are. Holidays and other things have contributed to not hunting but hoping to get after them this Saturday.
Hope Dick reaches His goal and you have an above average season when it's over.
Thanks for the inquiry on our shooting seasons! I've got to say, Master, that this grasshopper is having a good year, in part due to the information put out through this forum.
To date this has been my best year so far and, if the crow gods continue to smile on me, I will have my first 1K season! Right now the tally stands at 908. And, scouting out another field this morning, I'm hoping to come close to the goal on Friday.
This is peanuts for you, I know, and that is why you will forever be the ultimate Crow Man for all of us to aspire to!
Good Shooting,
Demi

For me it is mostly a social thing, so for a week every October I have 3 separate groups hunting with Jerry Tomlin (see avatar photo). That accounts for about half of the count. The rest is with one other person on various hunts near home hunting over peanuts or in dove fields. As word filters out, I'm getting more "crow problem calls" from people.
Crow hunting is also a diversion from another passion, shooting sporting clays. Both my wife and I shoot competitively all over the country from February though October. Can't say that crows are the best practice, but it sure is fun to hear that "thud" when the birds hit the ground. We don't get that when shooting clays!

We are running behind our last 2 years total's. We never had the migrating flocks come through our area this year. I can't explain why, but we never found the usual migrators. we did find enough to have a decent fall season, just about 100 birds shy of past couple years, for this time of year.
We are at 250 ish right now, but we have been bear and deer hunting for past few weeks. We will get back out after crows next week, but following week starts 2 1/2 weeks of muzzle loading season. So crows will have to wait til mid Jan.
