Just watched Glenn Guist on Swamp People cook a road kill crow in Jumbalyia, Cajuns are some of the greatest cooks and ain't scared to cook almost anything and eat it. They are survivors but this old redneck will take a pass on the crow.

"You are what you eat." Anonymous

"Tell me what you eat, and I'll tell you what you are." Brillat-Savarin (This was always the opening scene from the old 'Iron Chef' show in the 90s. Which, BTW, among all the weird critters they cooked up, never did a crow).

Proof: photo of crow eating "dead skunk in the middle of the road."

Plus, my vision of the chef that would do such a thing:

I'm part Redneck, but there is something deep inside me that tells me not to eat a crow.  I think it might have something to do with how we are wired from the Old Testament days.  I'm not Jewish, but maybe this is where it comes from... Leviticus 11

13 “‘These are the birds you are to regard as unclean and not eat because they are unclean: the eagle,[a] the vulture, the black vulture, 14 the red kite, any kind of black kite, 15 any kind of raven, 16 the horned owl, the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk, 17 the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl, 18 the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey, 19 the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe and the bat.

Reading over the list, I can't get my saliva flowing with any of these fowl, especially the "any kind of raven" part!
