Have you ever wondered why some birds suddenly are full of maggots on a hot day, and yet you pick them directly upon them hitting the ground, and covered them up, although not many flies were about ?
Well, I found the answer the other day (see, even at my age I learn something new every day).
Every living bird has some flat bodied flies amongst it's feathers, usually living on its back, where it lives by sucking blood .Soon as it dies, the fly lays eggs and goes looking for a new host
And this is the Bugger, called the stealth fly.
google it up (I tried posting the link to it, but the board crashes me out EVERYTIME I try to post it)
