Couple landowners have called and I've started making contact with the others and from reports this could be a good season hopefully. Got to brag a little on the Gentlemen who allow us to hunt, These Men are exceptional and some of the best folks I have met in my life. That makes the hunting that much more enjoyable for us. I always look forward to seeing them. I've got a few leads on some other properties and hope to gain permission. Here's hoping everybody has a safe and good hunting year.
I have my moments and hope the enthusiasm doesn't wane, an "above middle aged" man like myself needs all the cylinders hittin!
Look forward to your carnage reports.
I will be 69 in February and get around just fine, but every passing year it gets tougher for me to get enthused, I suppose it's because I have done it for so long. Once I am out there I am fine, it's having the push to get away from the fire place on a cold winter day.
the excitement is growing day by day here.....were down to 8 days..decoys are bagged up...calls tuned....guns cleaned and ready........while camping last weekend i stopped by my property and watched a pretty decent mob messing around in the corn field....seemed like a bunch of young dumb birds and some adults who have lost a little of their edge.....cant wait till im hiding in the standing corn sending loads of 7.5 their way...
