I'm having a hard time this fall locating good numbers of crows. Couple hundred here and there, none of the typical feeding groups of thousands. Shot 20 or so crows this morning and rarely inspect or pick up the dead as they disappear into the cover to be recycled by nature. This one dropped within a few feet of me and I noticed something peculiar as it had a snow white feather on its dorsal surface. Thought I'd post a pic of this "oddity".
Never even saw a hint of white on one down here, uniqued for sure.
What do you think is going on for your crow situation, food, temps, pressure etc. And have you experienced this before?

Butch, it was an extremely early spring this year and most farmers in my region all all but done their crops as crops matured early. Thus, not much for food but I do not like to drive more than 30 or 40 minutes to shoot crows! I'm sure if I scouted a bit further out I would find some good numbers. One has to go where the crows are...just like duck shooting
