A TCP Inspired Photo: A Trail Of Tears

Hi Gents,

The MI season is on.  Not sure how much I'll get out this section of season but I have a couple hunts under my belt so far.  I found Gadget Bob's picture titled "Trail of tears" that he posted a few years back to be quite memorable.  I enjoyed it. 

So, here is a "trail of tears" Michigan style.  Woods, snow, and crows.  I downed 31 on this quick hunt (many less than GB's photo) and worked up a honorable imitation.  Over 1/2 the birds fell into the thick stuff and are not pictured.

30 crows would be a decent morning for me as well. Careers, family and trials and tribulations of life get in the way of a lot of opportunities. Well run operation...thanks for sharing!

Wrong!  But I did have to save birds from 4 different hunts to make this picture.

Picture shows a good coyote spot that has been over trampled with a trail of human tracks and scent to me.

But good job on the crows. Havent even considered going yet. Do see some flying about but it'd probably be 10-20 bird event. Don't think I've got the desire to chase em until see long lines streaming in from the south.

You then, must be on the flyway that doesn't exist over by the Big Lake to the West. Because there simply are no streaming lines over this way, except in my dreams.

Now BH has been scouting the area for the last 30 years (he's only 32) so he knows where the big groups hide out most of the time. I get that. Whilst reconnoitering about yesterday (that's "scouting," BH) I saw 50 about 500 yards N of a place where I have permission to hunt. If all goes well, I'll be out there Sat. a.m. to see what happens.
