We had our best morning to date! The morning was very calm and pretty cool. The birds trickled in pretty steady for the 2hrs we called and shot. We would have stayed longer like normal but my buddy had to be some where at 10am. Neither one of use wanted to leave. He got his first double and got "high bird" of the day. I got "long shot" of the day at around 70yds.
They acted funny at the start but for some reason they seemed to come in easier after the first 30 minutes.
We would watch them (no more than 5 at a time) come from across the field, sometimes several hundred yards away. They came straight to us. We almost had 3 land in the blind!
32 are in the picture but we picked up 3 more when we picked up the decoys for a total of 35! We had a great time!
We got out of the blind to starticking up and 4-5 birds snuck in on us. So we just calmly walked back to the blind and they came in to the decoy spread dropping one that got the closest to the spread. I never expected that to happen.

That always seems to happen when you're tearing down. I love it when you can nail one of the stragglers that thinks, "Everything's cool here."
