Found the roost

I have been hunting my friend's 250 acre farm evey couple of weeks since mid winter. During the coldest weeks there was scarcely a crow to be found. In the last month the activity has really been picking up. This past Thursday I was on the edge of a corn field surrounded by pine trees and shrubs setting up my blind in the darkness before sunrise. I had picked this location because I had noticed it seemed to be in the direction the birds would head in the evening. Well I was taking a while getting my blind setup because the ground was frozen solid it was -12C out and I couldn't get stakes in. I was tying up to some shrubs when dawn came and suddenly right over my head a cacophony of crow calls burst out in an intstant. I'm talking about 50 + crows right over my head! My gun was still in the case. I was in full camo I just sat still and let them go out on their flight lines. I called some back here and there all morning and managed to kill 6, my best day yet. This was so exciting, I had no idea all those crows were in the trees above me in the darkness. I heard nothing until they woke up. Any tips on how I should proceed to hunt this roost would be appreciated. Will more come or if I keep the pressure on will they find a new roost?

Happened to me once years ago. When I realized what was going on I was frustrated-I would never shoot that close to a roost knowingly. There were only about 50 birds I guess and the day wasn't bad at all. It was very foggy that day so they were late getting up...

Best thing to do  now is to carry on; they won't roost there any more any way...
