A couple of photos from this morning

I haven't done much photography since a year ago last spring. This morning I had my camera, and a few crows flew by...close enough to fire off a few frames with the camera.

Mike, fantastic photos!

I bought a Canon T-5 with a mid range zoom lens (18mm to 270mm) that has been good to me with taking action photos. You are the man in regard to photography.

Here are a few photos I took just this past season with the new camera. Oh, before I forget since you love photography check out my post "The Making of a Crow Hunter" there is film footage of crow hunting in my fathers day 1950's & 60's. Look for "Father & Son from 1951" Also the "River Hunt" on the Arkansas River was very picturesque you will enjoy that one I am quite sure.

So how have you been, have not seen you on here in ages? You moved to Omaha didn't you?

Bob...You made a great choice with the Canonl T-5 and the mid range zoom lens. Those are really cool action photos.

I've been doing okay...back problems have slowed me down a bit, but I've been getting epidural shots, and will be getting another series this coming week. I did a lot of duck hunting this past season, and I'm currently training a young lab to eventually take over the retrieving duties of my old gal. I haven't hunted crows in a long time and have not been on this forum in over a year.

Bob...I'm a bit confused. I posted "A couple of photos from this morning," but it is not showing up on the Forum. I know I've done something wrong, but I don't know what I did. Any advice?

Mike

Mike, it is not you, I have problems posting some of my photos on this site, some work others do not! The very same photos that will not post on this site will post on other sites. I would love Gordon to light a fire under the people that run this site to update some things in order to take photos easier with out some of the problems you and I have experienced.

Mike, so are you in Omaha now?

Back problems are no fun at all, hope your doctors can help you.

Bob, I'm still in California. My friend Jim Rudd (who you've talked to before) moved from California to Omaha. He got married a couple years ago and moved to where her home is.

These posts are not appearing on the crow hunting forum. At list I'm not seeing them on my computer. I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong?

Mike, tech support is not my strong suite, Pete on the other hand could help you he is pretty savvy at this computer business. Pete is NH crow shooter on the Bulletin Board.

Yup, I was confusing you with your partner. So how old a fella are you, are you retired yet? Last time I spoke with you, you used to teach a photography course at a college. Do you ever go visit Jim in Omaha?

Bob,
I'm almost 72, and I'm a retired school (science) teacher. I taught photography in addition to science at the middle school level, and had an after school photography club. I hear from Jim every now and then, but I've never been back to to Omaha to visit him.

Mike,

You are not very far ahead of me, I turned 69 last February.

Your photos are in a class all there own with the focus and clarity!

So does Jim hunt any crows in Nebraska?

Bob,

Thank you for your kind comments...much appreciated. I'm not sure, but Jim mentioned that he was trying to get back into hunting again, and I think he's planning on doing some crow hunting.

Hi Mike,

Fantastic photo's, sir.

I just upgraded my field camera to a mirrorless Fujifilm X-T20, as recommended by Steve Dillon at FOXPRO.  I hope I can get some improved photo's for posting here in the fall, if the crows cooperate!

Regards,

Bob,

Thank you very much. Your Fujifilm X-T20 is an excellent camera. I'm sure you will find yourself getting some great images with your new set-up.

Wonderful photos Lame Duck. After seeing these crows in all the splendour... I'm now going to have a hard time dropping the hammer on one again!
