Hello yall. It has been awhile! Have not visited in a long time and glad to be back.
I had the chance to hang around some of the younger generation over the weekend and one of them had a .50 cal ammo boom box that sounded great.
Music sounded great and then I thought.... yep that might be excellent for crow hunting. Bluetooth and very good sound, very portable, durable, easy to carry and can play whatever is on your phone or can connect via USB.
Anybody use one of these? I have an old Johnny Stewart need to upgrade and this thing look great for both music and hunting. Might be great on the snow geese as well.
Looks like a pretty interesting idea. A few initial questions pop into mind:
- Is this store-bought or did he make it out of components?
- What is the power source?
- Are the speakers waterproof?
- What is the range of the Bluetooth?
You've peaked my interest...tell me more!
Demi

I wish I knew more to tell you but Im learning about it myself. I am going to buy one to play music and I will try it on crows as well. All I know is it has two polk or kicker speakers with tweeters, rechargeable power supply, amp and a way to plug up your phone. Power it on, plug up your phone and drop it in the box, shut the box and the music sounds great. They can use waterproof stuff if you want it to be even more durable. There are some on eBay if you want to look and learn more. I think the cost is around $250 and you could build one for cheaper I'm sure.
here are some instructions and components to build one:

I believe the setup shown is 200 watt. I assume you can pick and choose the AMP and speakers you want. I was going to get one for great sounding portable music before I thought about using it on crows. The one I heard sounded fantastic and had waterproof speakers.
