As said feeling a bit restless this evening as I have been in a training course this past few weeks. Threw my sons light little 20 auto in the truck and grabbed a box of 20 gauge fodder in the unlikely event that a few crows could be had before dark only a few miles from my home.
Once the caller was activated, to my suprise, I was instantly swarmed by a dozen bandits. My shooting was poor at first, used to a heavy 12, the light auto swung so fast and pointed poorly. To add insult the barrel was choked with a modified tube and crows were rocketing in into the north wind like on a string.
To my horror the single box of 8 shot was rapidly digested by the shotgun. Finished with 16 kia's and a possible. Crows continued to swing through the opening as I was powerless to shoot anymore. Had plenty of shells back at the truck but all in 12 gauge only...
Experienced that "restless" feeling a lot, wanted to shoot something after most courses. Good you were able to get out and bust a bunch. Great pics of a good pm hunt!
