As said feeling a bit restless this evening as I have been in a training course this past few weeks. Threw my sons light little 20 auto in the truck and grabbed a box of 20 gauge fodder in the unlikely event that a few crows could be had before dark only a few miles from my home.

Once the caller was activated, to my  suprise, I was instantly swarmed by a dozen bandits. My shooting was poor at first, used to a heavy 12, the light auto swung so fast and pointed poorly. To add insult the barrel was choked with a modified tube and crows were rocketing in into the north wind like on a string.

To my horror the single box of 8 shot was rapidly digested by the shotgun. Finished with 16 kia's and a possible. Crows continued to swing through the opening as I was powerless to shoot anymore. Had plenty of shells back at the truck but all in 12 gauge only...

few pics of some of the unfortunates.

Ted,

Experienced that "restless" feeling a lot, wanted to shoot something after most coursesbiggrin.  Good you were able to get out and bust a bunch. Great pics of a good pm hunt!

Ted,

One of a crow hunter's biggest fears is running out of ammo! Sorry to hear the one box tale you had to tell!
