Today is cool crisp some bulky clouds otherwise sunny with a mild wind. Looks like perfect de-crowing weather. I can't wait to hear from the Parker Bros.!!They should have some good news! As for me? Nothing until this week end. Then it's Browning time!

TC as you know this fall has been unusually warm (a record for October, and 60 deg at 7:30PM this evening), along with that we had a lot of rain in the last week of October just as the migration started. The weather really has worked against us the whole season even delaying the harvesting of corn, some fields are still standing. We never had those crisp late October days with bright sun, blue sky and stiff breeze out of the NW when we would expect to see birds moving by the 1000's. The first day we saw any migrating birds of any significance was last Friday. I think the migration may have peaked yesterday given what I observed today. This is on track to be a bad season for us. I suspect I will end the season later this month with 50% to 60% fewer birds taken than the last few years and not for lack of trying. Halloween, 10/31 was our best shoot to date with 44 birds taken, it does not look like we are going to see an 80 to 120 bird day this year. Perhaps there will be some days coming where they move in good number, I can only hope. Other than that it's just like the Boston Red Sox, we'll get 'em next year.

I am deeply sorry if that is the case. I am going out Saturday for what it is worth. There is usually some around until the ground freezes up...this means right up until the first snow fall...nothing like you two shoot at of course but usually enough to keep me interested.....
So did you get out yesterday and or today? If so how did it go?
