Havent ben in a while but got after the Whitetails down here on "public land" which is very challenging to say the least. Got fortunate on the black powder hunt and took a nice 7 pt. and a week later took this 9 pt. with the rifle below. This area is heavily hunted and to connect is difficult so as you can tell the stars lined up for me. The 2 hr. drag to get a 138 lb (field dressed wt) buck out of the mtn's of N.E. Bama made this "mature" (didn't want to say old)wink  man thankful I can still do it. Anyway since the crows have gave me fits thought I'd change up and take a break and deer hunt to hopefully ease the pain. Felt good to have things go my way, now I'm gone try and see if my luck has changed on Crowswink

Nice symmetrical headgear on that buck. Should be a good eater.

Thanks Gentlemen, he will eat well. Got one already in the freezer and this one is going to a friend of my Brothers who has cancer, stage 4. Hope it gives them some enjoyment in the tough days ahead. No pats on the back, pretty neat to enjoy the hunt and share the bounty with someone who really will enjoy it.

Nice going Butch!! Connected on a nice deer here at Valhalla yesterday evening myself. The nasty boogers are everywhere but nothing seems to catch their attention. Not counting the backstraps, my deer went to the Hoodoo Lady's uncle who is confined to a wheelchair and unable to hunt anymore. Sure is great to surprise someone with the meat.

Hey Butcher, nice buck!

A 2 hour drag? This ole boy would have been dripping some BB sized drops from the forehead after all that!
