I've got some very call wise crows here at my place / north, south , east & west of me. Anyone just use decoys with any luck ? These are pretty smart, when i use my call i may get one or two but the majority stay out several hundred yards and give the CAW, CAW, CAW ! They are obviously on to me. last year that happened and i used the distressed housecat predator call and they came like crazy. not this year !
I've this before: you need to give this area a break or every time you hit it it's "class time" where you keep your crows well reminded of their fate. Or possible fate. You probably need to give it a month in your case at the earliest-it's all burnt out. I've seen an area totally burnt out where this guy insisted on being a scare crow where despite the numbers of crows they would avoid him like the plague.
He ruined it so bad no one else could get them to come in either. Sure, one or two might but by this time one is wasting their time. Sure after you leave suddenly there's crows every where but they'll pull up stakes soon as you or who so ever puts in their all too often appearance...
You could just hide in your blind setting out a stuffed fox or some other predator with a decoy crow on its' side but even so (with no calling) you'll only get one or two before class is in session yet again!
