Piebald Streak Continues! Pics...

Hello Crowbusters!

Gosh, I have not been around much lately and I feel like I have been missing a good friend.  Its good to be back on here and I dont plan on being as absent has I have been the last few months.

Anyway, overall the hunting has been down for me.  The really warm fall hurt me and obligations to family and work never go away.  Nonetheless, I figured I would share a couple photos of a recent hunt for all to enjoy.

I hunted my tried & true spot that I affectionately call the "Machine Shop."  Why do I call it the "Machine Shop?"  Well, because I really grind on the Michigan birds here.  biggrin  I generally only hunt this spot one time per year.  Im not sure how this happened but I have shot a piebald at this very same location for the last 9 seasons.  This year included.  I personally guessed that this was year number 6 but I looked back at my records and to my amazement this was the 9th year in a row.  Craziness.

I shot a bonus pigeon too!  :)

I have had some nice piebalds too, part of me regrets not mounting one (or a couple) but yet, Im good with pictures too.  biggrin

Hope everyone is having a safe and at least somewhat successful season.

Good to see a tailgate full of dead bandits, neighbor. Even with your mug present. biggrin

Nice odd boid--9 years innarow--quite a record. Must be something in the local gene pool in that vicinity.

Very nice bird. 9 years in a row? That has to be some kind of record, I sometimes go years without drawing a bead on one.

BH,

That's an amazing streak. Thanks for the pictures. Nice pile on the tailgate as well.

Cool looking odd crow...can honestly say I have never shot a piebald crow. Have taken a few with a white feather or two...usually on wings or tail. However, I normally don't make it a habit of collecting dead crows unless they're in sight of others or for a pic to post here on the board. Run and gun too I almost never pick up KIA's as well, again only of for a photo. So I may have shot a piebald without knowing.

I deliberately single them out. I was lucky one year to see this spotted brown crow come in but couldn't find it....one of those crazy lung shot gliders...it looked like the spotted brown one in Bobas' museum..damn I hated to lose that crow!!
