If any of you gents want to read an article in the Hutchinson Kansas news (front page) about crows go to google and type in my name. The article is titled "Counting Crows"
http://www.hutchnews.com/news/20180102/counting-crows-aronsohn-has-been-chasing-birds-for-decades Nice collection Bob. Quite a coincidence that they mention the bombing of crows. Today i had lunch with an old timer here in Oklahoma who told me that back in the fort cobb hay day the peanut farmer would put a 5 gallon bucket full of dynamite & gravel up in the black jack trees & ignite it when the crows came in to roost !
“You have to know their habits,” said Aronsohn, a tall man, with the handsome good looks and head of hair that resembles former U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
A crow hunter compared to a president. Who'd a thunk it?
I have been receiving several verbal jabs over her "hair" statement from some of the guys I play pool with. I'm easy going so I get a good laugh out of it as well.
Bob, you do certainly deserve every bit of glory that you receive. I was not poking fun, I say feast in the glory that comes with a one of a kind life long accomplishment. Glad to be able to pick up some of your wisdom that you post here. Hence the expression, That's how Bob Aronsohn does it.
NH, I introduce Dick my hunting partner as my psychiatrist to farmers and ranchers as a joke. Dick in return says (his response) now he needs a psychiatrist after hunting with me for 14 years!

I actually know of a couple crow hunters who went even though knowing the shooting would be pretty poor just to get away from their wives for that time period!!
Outside of Bob's crow museum, I met this fine group of guys - from the left, Wade, Bob, Bruce, and Max. They were having a friendly Sunday afternoon 8-ball tournament. In the second photo after lining up his shot, Bob takes dead aim.
I've seen videos where Bob skillfully uses two and three shots to drop two and three crows in a row. I saw one video where five birds fell with five successive shots.
Next to the crow museum I sometimes saw a scratch. I also saw a reverse something that brought the targeted ball back into the pocket as called. I saw two, and three, and four targets fall into the pocket before the next man had his turn. A game involving angles, touch, chalk, coordination, and more in common with skillful crow hunting than I had thought about before I met Bob and his great group of buddies.
I am lucky to be alive and truly thankful for the chance to spend some time as your guest.
