Anticipation ! (Update)

Of an upcoming hunting trip to me is almost like being a kid again. Getting things together, checking equipment y'all get the picture. As you can tell I'm heading out tomorrow for a 3 day hunt. Not expecting a lot but hoping for a barn burner (lol). I can only guarantee that if the crows show up, Good Lord willing they will get shot at. I have not had a shotgun in my hands since last year so I'm overdue for "Crow snow" , thuds, crow darts and giving a few a "good dose of hush up".  Last year was tuff and this is a new year full of not knowing how it will turn out but hoping for the best. Anyway opening day is here for me Saturday and the Lord willing I'll be there and ready to finally pull the trigger.

Get after 'em Butch. We'll be anticipating your report. Shoot well and take plenty of shells!

As they say, "Man plans and God laughs", better luck in the near future.

Bad starts end with a good finish, right? Sorry to hear about your troubles. Keep us posted on your season progress.

Good luck when you get on those devils.

Thanks guys, if that's the worst that happens this year I'm doing good. We were pushing it anyway, still hot down here ( low 90's) but it's time to be after them. Got the truck apart and back together (no extra parts left over) lol. Anyway already scheming up the next trip. Hope to have something to report on soon.

Darn Butch,

Guess we'll have to wait to hear of your exploits. Good to hear the truck is up and running.

Butch, not only is your hunting off to a rough start it looks like your / our fishing spot is going to take a hit. We spent a week near indian pass in the panhandle on the 3rd. week of Sept. Had 2 days of dead fish washing up along shore from a touch of red tide. Not a single king fish to be had at port st. joe , Last year at the same time we limited out in 2 hours. A couple tarpon about 5 foot long but they didn't stay hooked long. Lot's of shark's also. As far as crows, the most we saw between Oklahoma & Florida was from Birmingham to Memphis. Looked like northern Mississippi had the most.

Camo,

Area took a big hit, hope it survives with the same feel it always had.
Thanks for the info on the crows, N.W. Part of the state is the only area that I haven't hunted crows at. Looks like that may change!

Randy,
Hope to get after them soon, going to read of y'alls adventures till then.
