After seeing several pics of coyote's on the game cam i decided to set up an early morning ambush. Got out before daylight & tucked into a hide on some high ground. About 20 minutes after daylight a bunch of crows were raising a fuss a few hundred yards away. I couldn't see them but by the sound of things i thought they had somehow seen me. About that time came 3 yotes from that direction. 3 shot's & 3 down. The second 2 made the mistake of running the wrong way & stopping. So i walk back to the house to get the mule to go back & pick up the good's & there was a murder of crows in a big oak tree overlooking 2 of the coyote's. They took off when i got close but it made me think.
All the cawwing i heard before the coyote's showed up was probably the crows giving out warnings about them. And why they all flocked in a tree overlooking the 2 dead yotes is very interesting. Perhaps using coyote sounds on a caller may be worth a try ? Anyone else ever had anything like this happen ?
My experience went like this: years ago I decided to try coyotes-man they are every where here. Anyways I began blowing a dying rabbit call! NO coyotes but crows! A lone crow came in but I had a high powered rifle so....it dawned on me when all else fails-it was over hunted for crows anyways-this is the hot set up. So go ahead...when all else fails...!
Interesting hunt Camo. Got to be pretty good to shoot doubles on coyote but a triple is quite the achievement. I have had coyotes come in several times when calling crows with an electronic call. Seems they are attracted to the action and can't resist checking out what all the fuss is about. Well run operation

A coyote came to the caller but still out of range but almost and my buddy couldn't see it so he moved and the coyote ran off....we were calling crows.....it was generally a good day though..maybe got eight a typical day years ago...but here is another reason I don't like hunting with anyone...not if it's for coyotes!
Awesome Camo!! Never had coyotes come in to the crow call, but have had several fox come in. Just the opposite, have had the nasty boogers come to my predator call. After seeing this, I have always carried a dying rabbit call when out and about for the nasty boogers! I end almost every set with it.
Congrats on the triple!!!

I had a coyote come running past me while I was calling crows last year, I was looking up for birds and it came up from behind me, I didn't even notice it until I seen him at full speed about twenty yards out in front of me.
Thanks for congrat's on the triple but is was more luck than skill, The second two didn't know where the rifle shot / shot's were coming from & stayed within range & stopped. That was their mistake. It did make for a great morning though !
Dang, Bo! Nice triple. And you are doing the outdoor world a big favor in taking them out. Sad part is they are so prolific, they will be replaced momentarily.
