The local Walmart has 12 ga. Federal shotgun shells for $4.94 per box. The load is 3 - 1 1/8- 7.5 shot. Might be a good time to stock-up if you need them.
I remember about 45 years ago I was living in Atlanta, Ga. and the K-mart had Alcan 12. ga. shells for $ 1.56 per box! The load was 3- 1- 8 shot, and I bought about 15-20 boxes. That is the cheapest I ever saw shotgun shells. My how times have changed.
See attached pictures. I have used the box when reloading shells several times, and have written on it, but you'll get the picture.
Used a lot of these 2 yrs ago and was well pleased with the performance, never was a federal fan for some reason but those woke me up. Will be making a ammo run today, Thanks.
I brought and used those Alcan shells back in the late 60's and 70's up in Terre Haute. They were the lowest price shells in the area, but seemed to work very well.
I don’t go in Walmart much anymore but when I’m there I pick up a couple sleeve of 12 and 20 gauge shells. Been doing this over 5 yr now just to build stock up
I too rememberthe Alcan straight 8s in paper 12gauge shells. I got them at the Oklahoma Tire and Supply in Hot Springs,Ark. for $2.50 a box about 1972.Great shell.
