Hello Bob, Looking at the pics it appears you had to add a back side to your blind at that location. Look's like you or Dick are getting ready to drop one in one photo as they approach over the brush. By the placement of your decoy's it looks like you were expecting a frontal assault. I'm curious , were you planning on them coming from behind the blind or did they approach on the front side also ?
Bob, For some reason i was thinking that the back of your blind was open. After looking at some pics i took of it when we visited your museum i see you did have a back panel. It all makes perfect sense now. But i will say that is the first time i have seen you with decoy's in front of you rather than behind, but obviously you had no choice here. I'm still curious if you shot any behind you in the open area ? Paul.
Normally I always have the back of the blind brushed up. In rare cases I hunt with no back on the blind. In the photo we were facing north and I brushed up the back so I could stay in the shadows of the blind to be more hidden plus stay comfortable from the heat of the sun.
