My last post was about a dove hunt that resulted in finding a farmer wanting to get rid of some crows in one of his fields. I scoped out the field, and found crows but not in large numbers. The organizer of the dove hunt was a friend who had never hunted crows, so I asked him to join me. I told him we might get 20 crows.

The blind was set up last evening and we hunted this morning. With a well brushed blind, we had zero birds flare on us in spite of some extraneous movements by my hunting partner as they approached.  The early hunting was impressively hot, but it soon petered out. We quit around 9:00 with a TBC of 18 Crows.  The highlight of the morning was grounding a brace of crows that flew over as we were packing up...both were in the stratosphere!  The hunt was not in the category of Bob or Randy’s take, but it was an enjoyable hunt for us.

 Well done Demi.

Always good to see and hear about enjoyable hunts. Keep after 'em.
